Raya, Mae and Jane Living It Up Little Compton Rhode Island October 2012
"It took all the strength I had not to fall apart just trying hard to mend the pieces of my broken heart And I spent oh so many nights just feeling sorry for myself I used to cry, but now I hold my head up high. I will survive." Gloria Gaynor lyrics to "I Will Survive"
Get out of the dumps and into the action. Whether you are angry at a personal situation or the world at large... living well is the best revenge. Use your anger as fuel to build and create what you want. Put your bitterness and upset into building or rebuilding your life.
Use a major upset to redirect your life. Use the emotion of that upset as fuel. You may need to rest or get away first and then get to work.
If outside forces are making you angry, don't be an armchair warrior, unless you have a good online presence. Even as a digital warrior, GET UP ONCE IN AWHILE. Get away from the computer, breathe some fresh air, go see the sights, talk to people, go shopping visit a museum. Expand your view and refresh yourself. Be clear about what most bothers you and dive into the problem.
When you look at the world and are disgusted, don't get pulled into that vortex of gloom. Use your anger and disgust to make personal changes, contribute to your community and change the bigger picture by acting on issues locally.
Be careful fighting against causes. You become part of the problem in a never-ending cycle. "if you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem." Make sure the warrior you are is informing and educating, not becoming that which you are fighting against. If you are becoming hateful... take a break!
First be strong in body, mind and spirit. How can you activate that reality? Make a list and just do it.
Channel your anger and frustration positively, in ways that manifest real change. Living well IS the best revenge!
