"This above all: to thine own self be true, and it must follow, as the night the day, thou canst not then be false to any man." William Shakespeare, Hamlet, Act 1 Scene 3
We live in challenging times. Many things we have taken for granted are in flux. Many of our inherent values are being attacked. The world is in chaos and confusion, perhaps more than at any other time in history. It is tough to see which way the life story is headed. These crosscurrents can make personal decisions difficult. From choosing a pre-school, to finding a college, to choosing a career, to raising children, to navigating retirement and finances; at each stage of the life cycle there are many confusing elements clouding our view and choices.
Many conditions could worsen in the very near term; inflation, food shortages, supply chain problems, gasoline shortages, tyrannical governments, housing prices, interest rates and so forth. There is a convergence of conditions that could severely affect our standard of living and sovereignty. I think that these problems are much worse than they look on the surface. We could be headed into a serious storm that will affect many parts of our lives.
Some people are busy prepping for their physical survival. Mental, spiritual and emotional prepping is equally important. When you carve out your sovereignty, follow your intuition and strengthen all parts of your life, you are much better prepared to handle whatever comes. You can face death with peace, fight off an enemy, speak your mind, stand your ground, use your intuition to psych out a safe space, deal with physical hardship and keep your sense of humor through it all. Should the storm never arrive, you will be in great shape to enjoy your life at every level.
When you look at your day, does it match how you want to live? Does your day reflect the things you want to include? When your baseline of living is solid and true to who you are, making adjustments to greater difficulty is easier. When you are already living in chaos, it may be harder to intuit the best changes to make. So, if there is chaos in any part of your life, deal with it. OR find a way to live joyfully and strong amidst the chaos.
Be true to YOURSELF! Stop keeping up with the Jones's, or your instagram idols, or facebook acquaintances. If your life is full of hardship, find the joy within that. Change what you can, accept what you cannot and have the wisdom to know the difference, as the old adage suggests. Don't ignore the difficulties. But live from strength of body, mind and spirit. Be sovereign.
As you purify your diet, find pleasant ways to move your body, discover spiritual peace and establish emotional strength; you are carving out your sovereignty. We have no idea where the road is leading... we never do... but it appears that the monsters have come out from under the bed and things we took for granted, like personal freedom and sovereignty are being attacked, even by our own peers and family in some cases. Establishing your sovereignty will make it easier to roll with the punches.
We should ALWAYS be physically prepared for a hurricane or storm or debilitating event Life has its unexpected challenges. It is wise to have stocked cupboards, medicine chests, backup toiletry supplies, cash on hand, a full tank of gas, silver, maybe some crypto, a diversified portfolio, guns and ammunition, bags of coffee and a jug of vodka.
COFFEE??? VODKA???? Ha! Coffee is a great bartering item should it get to that. Vodka is a good disinfectant and sedative. Sometimes the old ways are simpler and more empowering.
Being prepared is different for each person, but being clear about your self and strengthening your person is the bottom line. When you carve out your sovereignty and free yourself from following the crowd, you are ready for anything. Believe nothing unless it agrees with your own wisdom and common sense. Follow no one unless the deepest part of you agrees. Get ready for the coming storm!!
